Mona Lisa (Dés)Orders2019

Scientific Visualization Experiment, for an algorithmic design class, inspired  by Vera Mólnar’s (Des)Ordres, series (1974).
Created using grasshopper for Rhino:
  1. Create square grid
  2. Sampling brightness and color of the Mona Lisa’s painting,
  3. Use brightness level to control number of square offsets towards inside
  4. Color squares with RGB data
  5. introduce controled randomness in square corners.

The animation increases the disorder of the resulting lines.
