Modelling and Materialization is a 1st year course for the Design and Multimedia Master’s, taught in collaboration by the Architecture Department and the Informatics Engineering Department of the University of Coimbra. Students develop technical skills in translating between physical and digital models, through the realization of a design exercise, based on the creation of spatial narratives in 3D environments, based on the exploration of architectural archetypes, inspired in videogames, cinema, comic books, etc.
