Implemented with Kangaroo Physics, the system simulates the propagation and interaction of a growing curve, resulting in non-intersecting winding line akin to the growth of the brain inside the cranium.
Growth was guided by a set of collider curves defining the overall brain silhouette and by a seed curve. Variations in subdivision density and growth parameters produced different levels of structural complexity and density.
The resulting forms were used to create the visual identity for the 7th CiBB Retreat, The Resilient Brain.
