The concept delved into the idea of mapping brain function in different situations and using this data to directly model an immaginary space, as if interpretating and materializing thoughts into reality.
The project used electro encephalogram data, recorded from an individual, in sleep and awake situations and this data was fed through Grasshopper for Rhino and used to carve a 30x30x30 volume. This carving action was tuned to react more violently to the brainwaves of awake individuals.
Several iterations were developed and two final concrete sculptures were created using selected results, embodying the sleeping and awake thoughts.
